Hollywood Glam style emerged when Hollywood was in its Golden era during the 1920s. Pulling elements of the Art Deco style, which was very popular during the booming 20s, Hollywood Glam rose in popularity throughout the 30s and 40s.
Popularized by many iconic Hollywood Homes, such as Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo, and Joan Crawford’s homes, this style was the picture of the lavish lifestyles that everyone dreams of having!
So, what are some of the key features of Hollywood Glam style?

First is the use of materials that appear, or are, luxurious and lush. Materials like velvet, silk, satin, and fur are often used to be the focus of rooms. Immediately drawing the eye, these textures drip in elegance and class.
Next is the use of bold colors. Hollywood Glam is much like what you see on the red carpet. Stunning textures and materials dawned in bold and dramatic colors so that you can’t miss it!

Dramatic lighting is also a very important feature in Hollywood Glam. Spectacular chandeliers, dripping in crystals and diamonds with metallic accents, all add to the elegance, drama, and glamour of the spaces.
And finally, you can’t forget to include glamorous accessories. Think of pieces that include crystal, diamonds, metallic, or mirrored elements. Anything that rolls sophistication, class, and drama into a single piece is your perfect accessory to the Hollywood glam style!
